Loss Leader's feature

What is the Loss leader Feature?

If you have experienced venues cherry-picking your low margin / loss leader products, then this feature is for you. We are enabling suppliers to flag up to 10 products as ‘loss leaders’ and then make these products unavailable to venues of your choice until they meet the order threshold. This means venues you specify will be forced to buy other products from you before they are able to purchase your loss leader products.

How does it work?

You’ll have control over three things:

• Order threshold: This is separate from your MOV. It’s an amount that you set, venues will have to meet this amount with regular products. Once this threshold has been met, venues can add the loss leader products to their cart too
• Loss leader products: You can add up to 10 products that you want to prevent venues from cherry picking. These can be changed at any time. Venues will see this as ‘top products’ in your shop. 

Venues: You can add as many venues as you wish and the selected loss leader products will be unavailable until they have met the order threshold. Venues not on this list will not be impacted. Venues can be added or removed from this list at any time.

What does it look like for the venue?

Venues will be unable to add loss leader products to their cart until they have met the order threshold. Up until this time the loss leader products will be visible but locked.
